We had so much fun this past weekend. The weather had warmed up a little so we thought it would be a great opportunity to get Addison out for some of the local events that have been going on in Lubbock. We have the wonderful Ranching Heritage Center every year do a Christmas event called, "Candle light at the Ranch" They have lights lighting the walkways of the entire outdoor center to lead to the various "old timey" houses. In the houses there are people recreating the life of the era that the house is from. Many of the houses had kids from the local children's choir in it so that was a hit for Addison. She did great with the weather and absolutely wonderful waiting in the very long line to go to each house. We were there from 6:15-8:00 and we never once had a problem!!

On Sunday night we went to the wonderful park, MacKenzie Park where they put together a wonderful little village called SantaLand. They have it open for the next couple of weeks until the day before Christmas Eve. They have a giant Christmas tree, animated animals, different Christmas displays, bonfires, kids singing, and Mr. and Mrs. Claus. We started to wait in line to see Santa, but that would have taken 1 hour just to see him, so we decided to pass on that and just enjoy the event itself. Addison was extremely excited. She lead the way through the entire village. She screamed and shrilled in excitement. She stood in the middle of the area dancing, ran screaming "Pooh" as she saw a Christmas Winnie the pooh. WE LOVED IT! The site of our daughter fully enjoying herself and making her happy was our highlight of the night.
