First Grade

I know that back to school has come and gone, but we are so excited/scared/sad all the other many feelings that come around as your little girl gets bigger and bigger. She is now in first grade at Smith. She is in Mrs. Clanahan's class and we are really happy! She is right down the hall from me, which is really great...I can spy and she doesn't even know it. She is doing amazing! She loves anything and everything that she is learning in class. She has A's down the row in all subjects. Her favorite is reading. She is speeding through books, sitting in her room, in the car, walking in the hallway or to the car, her nose is often in the books. YAY! She loves all of her fine arts (music and art) and PE is always a great one for her. This year she is very busy taking piano, dance at Ballet Lubbock, and soccer. We are on the go every day except for Wed., Fri., and Sun. She wouldn't give up any of them! Can't wait to see what the rest of this year holds for her, she is already talking about indoor soccer, so we will see what happens!

The little days of summer

I think we had a pretty amazing summer!!

Diggers!

Avett is so in love with diggers and construction type machinery and for his birthday we decided to take him over to Uncle Kirk's and surprise him with a hands on activity with all of his machinery. He was in love! He had the best time driving in all his equipment and Kirk was so patient and took as long as Avett wanted in each thing. Addison also loved it and was even able to drive the golf cart. Thank you Uncle Kirk for making the kids weekend amazing! It is a day they will always cherish and remember. It is still talked about quite often!

Let's PARTY!

I think Avett had a really great two year old celebration with lots of fun, family, friends, and new toys to get soo excited about! When asked where he wanted to go for his birthday to eat the place of choice was Chuck E. Cheese. We went at lunch on a weekday to avoid the crowds and it was great! He had a wonderful time. We headed over to Midland for his party. He had a train party. There was yummy treats, swimming, and a lot of wonderful family that came over to celebrate our sweet boy! We really appreciate everyone who came, it meant alot to us! We also surprised Avett with one last gift when we got home from Midland. We bought him a tricycle, unfortunately, his legs are still just a tad bit short to start pedaling! Boo! Oh well, he will soon be ready to ride right along side with Addison! For one last surprise, The Horsleys stopped by to bring Avett some delicious cupcakes. He was looooving that orange frosting!

Happy Birthday Avett Hill! You are such an amazing little guy and we are so proud of who you are and all that you have done in this little life of yours! We are having so much fun being your mommy and daddy!
