Country Christmas

Addison had her Christmas recital for music on December 7th. They had a great variety show and then afterwards they had an awesome Country Christmas event. They had horse carriage rides, hot cocoa and cookies, decorate a cookie with Mrs. Claus, a live Nativity scene, animals to feed, really yummy wood oven pizza, and pictures with Santa. We had a really wonderful time and we hope that they will continue this great event next year!

Kendrick

This weekend we were able to go to Midland for the evening and see Tosha and Justin's sweet baby boy, Kendrick. He is the cutest little nephew EVER!! He was born November 28, 2012 @ 3:47 am. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz and was 21 inches long. We love him dearly and Thomas and I were back and forth holding him because we did not want to let him go. We were sad that we were not able to stay very long, but so happy that we had the the opportunity for a small amount of time to be with him. Can't wait for after Christmas to spend even more time with him! Also, I can't wait for Kendrick and Avett to grow up together and be sweet cousins!! Of course, as you can tell, Addison is the greatest big cousin and loves him so much! Congratulations Tosha and Justin! He is absolutely beautiful.

Bingo Days 1-5

Bingo has officially returned to the Reynolds' Casa. He has an even bigger job this year, watching two kiddos instead of one. Luckily, Avett is a pretty easy job to take on and Addison is usually easy peasy too! Good family choice Bingo, we are happy you are here with us! Here are the first 5 days of Bingo's stay at our house. It looks like he has been enjoying himself and making himself right at home!
 1. Hello Letter
2. TP the Tree
3. Marshmallow Bath
4. Candy Land with friends
5. Snowflakes

First Week of Daycare

Avett had his first almost full week of daycare last week! He did a really great job, mom, not so much!!! Right now everything seems to be going well and we like where he is.  He has two teachers, Ms. Livy and Ms. Austyn and one aid, Ms. Yolanda. They all seem very nice and sweet to our boy! He also had his 4 month check up this week and measured in at 16 lbs. 6 oz and 26 inches long (80th percentile for both). He also had his immunizations that caused him to have quite a negative reaction.  He went up to a 102.8 fever and did not come down until Friday night (shots were Thursday morning). He began to have drainage in his nose and left eye, therefore, no daycare on Friday. Doctor did not seem concerned unless it carried on to Monday, which it did not, thank goodness!! He is doing much better and off to daycare again this week we went.

Holiday Happening

Last weekend, while Daddy was in Boston, I thought it would be fun to do something fun for the kids to do especially with Mommy. Holiday Happening, hosted by The Junior League of Lubbock, is a great big shopping exhibit to get you geared up for Christmas. It is held all week long and on Saturday they do a special Breakfast with Santa before the shopping begins. We were able to come and eat a Chick-fil-a biscuit with juice, listen to the West Texas Childrens Choir sing carols, say hi and hug Santa, listen to a story told by Mrs. Claus, and write Santa a letter that would be mailed to the North Pole. I was a little worried about taking Addison because she was still feeling a little under the weather, but I think it was all worth it. Avett was thrilled with Santa and gave him a great big smile when Santa came and shook his hand and Addison was eager to get up and give him big High Fives! The story was so cute and Addison was right up in the front to hear all about Santa and eating too many cookies. Mrs. Claus gave everyone a rule of only 2 cookies this year on Christmas Eve...one for each hand. We are now sticking to this rule and it will be enforced by Addison. In Addison's letter she asked for a stuffed animal cat, from Build-a-Bear. Santa will be sending Mommy and Daddy some money to take Addison and Avett there in Houston. Afterwards, we did some walking and shopping, which they both were awesome! No issues what-so-ever. As we were leaving, we were also able to see Santa's reindeer. They were beautiful! What a great treat for my two sweet kids and for Nana and I to see the joy in their eyes as they get so excited for the Holidays!

We are on a roll!

Starting last week, November 8, 2012, Avett officially rolled over! We are excited, but at the same time now very cautious as to where we leave him. He is doing it now non-stop. The arm still gets stuck, but within a couple of seconds he gets it out from under him and he is good to go. He is only going from back to tummy at this point, but I am sure the next step will follow soon. He is definitely moving and grooving and we are very quickly to the next milestone of sitting by himself!

Trick or Treat

Our Halloween night was spooky and fun! We had our dinner of spooky foods that Addison took very literally and we had to pull her off the ledge later in the night and share that it was all just pretend. She did have fun during the meal time though and tried everything and thought that it all tasted quite delicious. Thomas and I joined in on the costumes..though not very inventive...and went over to Mom's neighborhood to do some trick or treating. We had a great night with lots of fun..some tears for bed..and too much candy!
