Valentine's School Party

Addison's Valentine's party at school was a huge success! First of all they were able to wear "Civilian clothes", which was great for Addison. A valentines shirt and shirt was a top priority to wear. All of the kids from all 3 three year old classes were in awe of the beginning events of the party. They were all brought into what is called the Patriot Learning Center and had to sit and wait for a "surprise". The 8th grade class, as a fundraiser, collected money from parents to be messengers with balloons and chocolates. They all came in singing love songs and carrying the gifts from friends and parents. They told some silly Valentine's knock knock jokes and then handed out one at a time the gifts to each kid. Addison received 2 balloons and a candy bar from us and then she received a balloon and a candy bar from 2 of her different friends in her class. After the craziness in the PLC, they returned back to their classrooms to make a love robot and eat some pizza, fruit, and a cookie. They did not open their valentines because there were 28 kids that handed out valentines and that would have been complete chaos..very understandable! Addison absolutely loved her Valentine's Day and I am so glad that I was able to be apart of the festivities!!

Happy Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day, I wanted to make something special for Addison's first real Valentine's party. I found this super cute idea for "Love Juice". The plan was to make 12 bottles for the kids in her class, instead I get a letter from the teachers that they are going to do a group Pre-k 3's party. That means 28 bottles of Love Juice. Let me tell ya, I was not really wanting to make that many bottles...but Addison and I did it and I am very proud and excited for the kids in her class to have these for a Valentine from Addy. Addison is very excited to pass them out, as well!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day!!

Snow Day

We had a full day of snow on Sunday with very icy roads that were not great for driving on Monday morning. Therefore, Addison and Mommy got to have an extra long weekend and Daddy was able to have a lazy morning before going into work! With the sun shining and the snow no longer coming down, Addison took full advantage of getting some snow time in. A snow angel was on her list from the time she woke up! She loved and then Daddy helped her build a snowman! Fun stuff for a no school day!

Second Trimester

Well, we are officially in our second trimester.  Tad is about the size of an apple (according to babycenter) and I am 15 weeks along and feeling much bigger than I did with Addison at this time. I have started to feel random bubbles and movements in my stomach that I can definitely tell is Tad, which is sooo exciting! I am feeling pretty good other then some major exhaustion and need for sleep. I have switched to a slow releasing iron pill that is working much better. I was still experiencing pretty severe gas, heart burn, and indigestion problems with the pill up till about 2 weeks ago and those symptoms have slowly subsided. THANK GOODNESS! I am having major food cravings...especially General Tso's Chicken (not sure why? but ooo I could eat it everyday if I would allow myself).  Doctors apt.s have all gone well thus far, with the heartbeat right on target and my weight and size being no issue. We are going to be having our ultrasound to find out if the baby is a boy or girl on March 1st. We are hoping that we can head over to Midland to do a little Gender reveal get together soon after the 1st. So be thinking about if you will be a Team Boy or Team Girl! We might even have a name by then...still a hard decision for us! Addison is doing very well so far with the pregnancy.  She will talk to the baby with Thomas and she even thinks that she has a baby in her tummy. When her stomach hurts or when she eats a lot she will lift up her shirt and say "oh my baby is soo big!". She has named her baby Sissy. It is quite a funny thing to watch. Also, she has been very caring and empathic to me about the baby. She will ask how Tad is doing, how am I doing, and if Tad slept okay, and other various super sweet questions. We are so happy to tell more about the baby in upcoming months!
