Elf Day # 13,14, 15, 16, and 17

Day 13- I do not have a picture of Bingo on this day because I forgot, but he was playing hide and seek in Addison's stuffed animals. It was kind of like a Where's Waldo game, but Where's Bingo. He was pretty well layered with stuffed animals and Addison needed to look very hard to find him.
Day 14- Bingo was naughty. He TPed Addison's bathroom with the rest of toilet paper on her roll. Thank goodness he did not know where the back up rolls were.
Day 15- Addison, Mommy, and Daddy could not find Bingo all morning long. We thought maybe he had gotten stuck in travels from the North Pole to Lubbock. Luckily, when Addison and Daddy went to the car to go to school, Bingo was happily sitting in the back seat of the car with his seat belt on ready to go riding around.
Day 16- Bingo wrote a sweet note to Addison on her mirror this morning.
Day 17- I think Bingo really outdid himself on Saturday. He arrived with a movie from Santa especially for Addison. She was so surprised and it made her day. Way to go, Bingo and Santa! Movie is at the bottom if you would like to watch it.

Polar Express

We had such a wonderful time at the Polar Express last weekend. Mia, Pop, and Lil' Justin came and joined us for the evening and it made it such a special activity. We took them to West Crust Pizza for some delicious pizza and then headed over to the train depot. We were greeted by the conductor and we headed up to our seats. They played the music from the movie throughout the ride and in "mid-ride" they dimmed the lights and played the audio of the story. One of the chefs came around with the book to show the kids the pictures. The Conductor came around and punched holes in their golden ticket and it ended up being the letter of their name. They also played the "hot chocolate" song and the chefs went back and forth clapping and getting the train crowd into it. They brought some great souvenir mugs with hot chocolate and whipped cream, along with a cookie. After about 45 minutes we came to the "North Pole". Santa and his elves were bravely standing outside in the freezing cold waving and dancing in front of a decorate scape and then as the train stopped they joined the train ride back to Lubbock. The elves and Santa walked around the train bringing the silver bell and asking what the kids wanted for Christmas. The kids absolutely loved the trip and so did we!

Elf Day # 10,11, and 12

Day 10- Bingo was able to get into our flour and make a "snow angel". Quite messy but sure was fun to see!
Day 11- Bingo placed himself at the top of the Christmas tree so that he could see all of the house and get a good look at Addison being naughty or nice.
Day 12- Bingo needed to take a little trip on the tractor today. He toured the farm animals around the living room while we were at work and school.

Winter Wonderland

This evening we had planned to go the the Ranching Heritage Center to do their Candlelight walk, but the wind was getting bad and the cold weather was just not something we wanted to be out in for 2 hours. We still wanted to do some type of holiday activity so we decided to head over to Vintage Township. They have in the square of the development a lighted winter wonderland with music, fake snow, and various areas for picture opportunities. They also had a carriage ride that you could do. Addison enjoyed running around and "dancing to the music, catching the fake snow and enjoyed the lights! It took about 20 minutes tops and it was a quick, but fun holiday activity that we did not have to be out in the cold for a long amount of time!

Elf Day # 8 and 9

Dec. 7th- Bingo found a Christmas coloring page that Addison brought home from school that she hadn't colored. He decided to color it for her and wish her a Merry Christmas. Dec. 8th- Bingo had a very cold and long trip to the North Pole, so he kicked the babies out of Addison's crib and made himself a nice and cozy bed for the day. He was in some major need of some R & R. He is now ready to get back to work!

Elf Day #4

Dec. 4th- Bingo was very hungry from his trip to the North Pole last night and needed a "pick me up" with Addison's Halloween candy! Addison said his tummy looked really big from all of that candy.

Elf on the Shelf

A couple of days ago, Addison received a package in the mail from Santa..aka Nana. It was an Elf on the Shelf. Addison was extremely excited and was ready to read "the rules" for this elf. Santa sent the elf to watch over Addison throughout the month of December so that he could find out if she is being naughty or nice. This elf, not named when it arrived, is now Bingo.  Bingo will watch over Addison throughout the day and in the evening, when she is asleep, will head off to the North Pole to report his findings and return by the morning and station himself in a different area of the house each time. Now Bingo is not allowed to be touched because he will lose his "elf magic" and Santa has stated that he is not allowed to talk to Addison, but is more then happy to listen to her stories, secrets, and any other randomness that Addison likes to share! At the end of December on Christmas Eve Bingo will head back to the North Pole for the last time until the next Christmas. We are so excited to have Bingo here at our house and we can't wait to see what fun places he will show up each morning!

Dec. 1st- Bingo sat in Addison's room on her dresser.
Dec. 2nd- Bingo sat on the lamp. When Addison woke up, she felt like she needed to get some toilet paper to make a blanket for him, because he was close to the door.

Dec. 3rd- Bingo decided to go for a sleigh ride with Rudolph

PS. I think I am going to have as much fun finding places for Bingo to hang out, as it is for Addison to find him.

Thanksgiving in Fredericksburg

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Fredericksburg. Both Ramsey family's and our little Reynolds' three headed to Fred on Wednesday. Thomas and Addison were in charge of prepping and cooking the turkey and they did marvalous job! Thursday and Friday were great days to see Addison and Lily play together. It was so cute! Addison and I also were quite sick and dreaded the night since we could not sleep because of sore throats, headaches, cold chills, and stuffiness. While the Ramsey's went walking around Main St. on Friday morning, we spent our time in the ER attempting to get some good meds that would catch us back to speed before the weekend ended and school was starting back on Monday. After a long, needed nap we all walked around some more and enjoyed a family dinner at the Brewery. Afterwards, we were able to go to the "square" in the middle of Main street where they lit up all the Christmas lights, tree, and the giant German Pyramid (sorry there are no photos of this, I did not realize we would not be going back to the house before this activity). They also had a local dance group doing the Nutcracker and the girls fell in love! We really enjoyed ourselves and it was a great 1st away Thanksgiving in Fredericksburg!

Pretend Play

Addison has been very involved in pretend play the past couple of months and heavily in to playing princess. Everyday we are wearing one of my old dance costumes and pretending to be Cinderella. She really enjoys reenacting the movie with us and Pop and Mia had the privilege of being int he play when they came to visit on Saturday. It is the funniest and cutest thing ever and she is so imaginative. She is also a very bossy director! Make sure you stay on the Addison script or you will be told you are wrong! She also enjoys playing with her train and getting gas, paying a toll, and being a conductor. So much fun playing, sometimes wears you out a little, but so great to see her imagination running wild!
