Bestest Buddies Ever!

Addison just loves these guys! She said in the car yesterday that they were the Bestest Buddies Ever. Even though they did not get to go trick or treating they sure did love getting dressed up and hanging out in their costumes for a little bit.

Brooklyn and Addison

We joined the Horsley's on Saturday to do our pumpkin painting that we did last year with the girls. They did it alot quicker this year. it literally took about 10 minutes and then they both said, "We're done!" and ran off to play. They came back once to paint again for another 2 minutes, but you can tell what is more important to them! We were not able to do any trick or treating, but we still wanted to get the girls dressed up for a quick photo shoot. That was also very short and sweet!! We took a couple photos, then they switched costumes, and they were done! Thanks Horsley's for letting us hang for the afternoon, Addison loves hanging out with her best buddy!

Safe Treat

We took Addison to Texas Tech this week to go to the Safe Treat that the students put on in their dorms. If their is a print out pumpkin on their door they are handing out candy. We went to the Honors dorm since Thomas knows many of the students and we also went to the girls dorm. There were not that many students participating in the Honors dorm, but the girls dorm was the greatest place to go. The girls were screeching at Addison because of how cute she is, they gave her handfuls of candy because she was so cute, and they asked to take her picture. LOL, I think it was a success! She was eating it up and so were her parents.

The Littlest Scarecrow

This year I was really searching for the perfect costume. I was contemplating buying one of the super cute pottery barn kids costumes, but as I was searching one night about to purchase, I ran into a costume maker on Etsy. She was selling this precious scarecrow costume for $85. I fell in love with it and called my mom immediately with the design so that we could start planning the creation of this awesome costume. It was super cheap and really easy. I was so excited about this costume and it turned out exactly the way we wanted it!

Thank you NaNa for making my wonderful costume!!

The finished product: Our Sweet Scarecrow!

Carving pumpkins

We carved our pumpkins on Thursday. Addison was quite excited to do so, but we quickly realized that she was not so excited about the pumpkin but the chance to slide all over our kitchen table. We ended up pretty much doing the same face as last year, but she and I enjoy doing the star eyes so that is what we did!

Do you see a reoccuring expression in Addison's face as we open up the pumpkin to reveal the "gooeys" (as we are calling them)?! It is quite funny. I thought I remembered her liking it last year, but I was wrong! All three years that we have done this have been a no go for the seeds and happy again once they are cleaned out and a face is on the pumpkin.

Pumpkin Patch

We were able to go to the Pumpkin Patch this year pretty early and with good weather! Last year when we visited the pumpkin patch Trinity and the Reynolds' about froze their bottoms off, but we were quite lucky this time. Mom had never been out to the pumpkin patch and since she was in town when it opened we took her on out. We were able to do everything pretty much by ourselves as a family since it was so early. We did the hayride, looked at the animals, and Nana and Addison did the maize train. Addy had a great time and so did Nana!

Baby Grace

The Reynolds' family went to visit the Vaughn family this last weekend so that we could meet the beautiful Baby Grace! We really enjoyed seeing her and holding her and spending time with the new mommy and daddy. Addison loved holding her too! Addison even got hurt at one point and ran upstairs and was crying with me and said " I want my baby grace!!" I thought that was too cute.
Grace we are so excited that you are here and we can't wait to spend much more time with you in the future and know that we LOVE YOU so very much!
