Kindergarten Christmas Party

Addison had her Christmas party in Mrs. Grimshaw's class on Friday. It was a crazy, chaotic, fun, and an exciting time for all involved! They had great goodies to munch on to start the party and then off to 4 fun centers that the room moms put together. There was a reindeer food center, Christmas tree ornament decorating center, ice cream cone Christmas tree snack center, and a "Let's wrap the Mom" center. I think the fan favorite was the mom wrapping center, they all absolutely loved it and the wrapping spilled over to other parents and teachers (Thomas was wrapped with a lot of bows). The kids also got to wear fun Christmas hats, headbands, etc. for a $1 to go to the Coronado high school band heading for a competition, thus Addison's stylish hat and the Coronado girls volunteering. What a great afternoon to share with Addy and all her friends.

Holiday Happening

Holiday Happening was so much fun for the kids this year. We were able to have the weather join in on the Christmas fun with freezing temperatures and snow! We drove over to the Civic Center early in the morning ready for our breakfast with Santa. We got Chick-fil-a Chicken Biscuits and milk, lots of fun coloring pages, a postcard for us to write to Santa, and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Mrs. Claus then told us a story of how the North Pole was created and Addison loved sitting up in the front with all of the other kids. They got to take home a fun goodie bag and we then headed downstairs to play in the fake snow falling from the balcony. Avett and Addison both got a big kick out of the snow! The shopping was not as great as we hoped, but we were okay with that because the kids had a wonderful time. We ended the morning with a visit to the Christmas ponies! What fun we had dressing up and getting our holiday spirit in gear for the next month to come!

The Polar Express 2013

We headed out on the Polar Express on Saturday with my parents before they headed back to Katy. We had done the train ride with Thomas' mom and dad and we were eager to share the experience with my parents too! We headed out at 6:30 and were back by 8:00. The train took us all the way to the North Pole and we had alot of fun on the ride there and back. We started got to have some yummy hot chocolate and a sugar cookie while listening to the "Hot Chocolate" song from the movie, we listened to the story while one of the helpers carried around the book to share the pictures, the conductor came around and punched the kids special tickets with the first letter of their name, and we did sing alongs, and Addison was able to color on the Polar Express coloring book. Once we got to the North Pole, they were all outside the train dancing and waving to us and they quickly joined us on the train. First, we were able to say hi to the Elf. Avett was excited to show her Santa on his PJ's and Addison told her that she wanted to ask Santa for a Palace Pet. When Santa came, he gave Avett and Addison a beautiful bell, just like the first gift of Christmas in the movie. We absolutely loved it! Addison did great and my sick man had his moments, but overall he had a great time with lots of smiles and dancing, just like his sister.
