Last weekend, while Daddy was in Boston, I thought it would be fun to do something fun for the kids to do especially with Mommy. Holiday Happening, hosted by The Junior League of Lubbock, is a great big shopping exhibit to get you geared up for Christmas. It is held all week long and on Saturday they do a special Breakfast with Santa before the shopping begins. We were able to come and eat a Chick-fil-a biscuit with juice, listen to the West Texas Childrens Choir sing carols, say hi and hug Santa, listen to a story told by Mrs. Claus, and write Santa a letter that would be mailed to the North Pole. I was a little worried about taking Addison because she was still feeling a little under the weather, but I think it was all worth it. Avett was thrilled with Santa and gave him a great big smile when Santa came and shook his hand and Addison was eager to get up and give him big High Fives! The story was so cute and Addison was right up in the front to hear all about Santa and eating too many cookies. Mrs. Claus gave everyone a rule of only 2 cookies this year on Christmas Eve...one for each hand. We are now sticking to this rule and it will be enforced by Addison. In Addison's letter she asked for a stuffed animal cat, from Build-a-Bear. Santa will be sending Mommy and Daddy some money to take Addison and Avett there in Houston. Afterwards, we did some walking and shopping, which they both were awesome! No issues what-so-ever. As we were leaving, we were also able to see Santa's reindeer. They were beautiful! What a great treat for my two sweet kids and for Nana and I to see the joy in their eyes as they get so excited for the Holidays!
Much Love,
