Autism Walk

Last weekend we attended the Texas Tech Burkhart Center Walk for Autism. We were able to get shirts to support Autism and we were ready to go! The unfortunate thing was that the football stadium had no circulating through it, so we all were pretty miserable very quickly into the event. We stayed for about 45 minutes to an 1 hour and then grumpily headed home. We were sad that we could not experience the walk for a longer time and have more family fun, but with two grouchy children and hot parents, it made for failed event! I am glad I got a few photos out of it, before the heated grump came in! LOL

Ride em' Cowgirl! It's time for the Rodeo!

Addison had her annual Tricycle rodeo for the preschool and pre-k classes at All Saints. She was not able to ride her tric this year because of construction in the school. They did, however, include their tricycle races around the hay bale which is so fun to watch! They also did their stick horse race, and balloon popping race. The kids sang "Deep in the Heart of Texas", "T-E-X-A-S" and recited a poem. They were able to play outside for a while and go crazy and then off to eat some great Chick-fil-a nuggets, chips, and a awesome cowboy cookie! She absolutely loves this event because of the games, the fun attire, and enjoyment that comes from everyone watching her and playing with all her friends! We love watching her and will be sad that this is our last year to do this!

PS. Sorry that we have no video for this event! We forgot that our phones were full on memory...time to empty those out!

Splish Splash

I know I post lots of pictures of my kiddos in the bathtub, but honestly, they have such a fun time in there and there are so many smiles that I can't help but take pictures! Addison has always loved the bath, and now Avett shares that love. If we do not put him in the bath, when he hears the water running for Addison he will throw a fit. He demands that bath time!

Tearing Paper

Avett is just like his sister! They love and loved tearing paper! It is such a fun thing for a baby and I just had to share the joy that Avett gets out of tearing magazines, hearing the crinkling sound of the paper, and attempting to put the paper in his mouth. I also wanted to add a picture of Addison doing the same thing at this age.

Dancing at Dinner

Avett has been more interested in music lately. When we sing to him he will rock back and forth for a little bit of time and the other night at dinner we had a "night at the roxbury" dance from him! He was head bobbing to Don't Worry Be Happy.  It was super cute! I didn't get a whole lot of video, because as you can see he became distracted and too interested in his crazy dancing sister.

Easter

Easter was a great time. It was so cute to see our two cuties dressed in matching colors! I am having fun with this part of having two kids! Can you tell? Avett in his bowtie and Addison in her Chevron dress just made my Easter day, LOL! They were both such happy campers that day. Addison had lots of fun friends to play with (Tosha's friends' kids!) They just ran all around together, ate together, played doctor together, and ran around collecting eggs together...along with smashing the coscarrones(sp?) on each other) There were many many kids big and small that enjoyed our front yard egg hunt. We had lots and lots of eggs! Biggest family egg hunt we have had, and Addison had a blast! The food was yummy, the friends were so fun, and the family time was so worth it!

And I am so proud of my carrot cake!! It was super yummy!!!
