Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve consisted of our traditional Chinese food, setting out the cookies (which Addison was informed by Mrs. Claus this year that Santa could only have 2 cookies!!), Poppa and Addison throwing out the reindeer food, and then off to bed to rise early for the greatness of Santa!!

Build a Bear

For Christmas, Addison had been asking Santa for a "cat toy" from build a bear. The day that we went to Cheesecake Factory with the Keffers, we decided we would let Addison and Avett have one of their Santa gifts, an animal from Build a Bear. The reason we did this is because the mall that the restaurant is located has a build a bear and for convience sake we thought that would be the best time. That afternoon the kids got a letter from Santa letting them know the plan for Build a Bear and Addison was uber excited!! She, of course, got her cat toy, named Penny and Avett made a very cute black bear named Midnight. Fun times!!

Fun Times at Nana and Poppa's

We some fun times at Nana and Poppas while we were there for the week. Addison did some snuggling with Bailey, Avett had lots of fun sink baths, Addison and Poppa played and had many silly playdates, while Avett enjoyed kicking about and feeling better away from all the dirt that kicked up the awful allergies in Lubbock. We had a great time there and miss Houston...though we do not miss that drive!

A visit with the Keffers!

While in Houston, we were able to visit with Jen and Mike at the Cheesecake Factory! Yummy food, great friends, and a wonderful visit to catch up! Addison also just loves her Aunt Jen!! She was so excited to see her and that she new exactly what she wanted for Christmas...Thanks Jen!

Visit with the Nelms

As we drove to Houston, we took the opportunity to stop in Bee Cave and meet the Nelm's for a quick visit and meet their newest addition, Clayton.  It was so nice to see our friends and have our two babies together for the first time.  We have been anxiously waiting to see him and were so happy that they were able to join us for a couple of hours.  He is such a cutie and we can't wait for Avett and Clayton to be together again as they get older and more interactive! Thanks John and Katie for the great visit and we can't wait for the next.

Addison's Christmas Party

This year, Thomas and I were both able to attend Addison's school Christmas party.  Thank goodness for a very low key party where the kids do not go crazy!! They got to have a fruit kabob, pretzel sticks, and a juice, then they decorated a Christmas tree ornament, and then on to doing a book exchange with one of the other prek classes that is attached to Addison's room. It was a quiet, easy going time and the kids really enjoyed it!

Here are the last days of our dear elf Bingo! He was so fun to have in the house!!

Bingo 10- Candy Cane Garden- Small bits of peppermint and oats..she plants them and then on the next day candy canes have grown

Bingo did not stay any longer because he knew that we would be traveling here there and everywhere. He said goodbye and is eager to return next year!
