Chapel Singing

A couple of weeks ago, the three preschool 3 classes were able to perform in chapel. Thomas and I were able to take an hour off of work in the morning to go and watch her and we were so happy we did! Such a sweet little song for all of these adorable kids to sing!

Easter

We had a pretty low key Easter since Thomas and Ronnie were slaving away on the construction of Avett's room. On Saturday morning, Addison, Vicki, and I dyed eggs. This was the first time we have done it with Addison and she really enjoyed it! She made glitter eggs, sticker eggs, and eggs that had crayon on them. Fun stuff!! After those were finished the girls went and did a little shopping and while we were out and about, we noticed an Easter Bunny out at one of the shops in Kingsgate. We stopped and let Addy take a picture with him, she was thoroughly delighted!! I made a Easter dinner for everyone on Saturday night, to be in the Easter spirit, but also to show my true appreciation for my in laws coming up and helping us with this large task of redoing the bedroom for our baby boy! We had a great dinner and spent some nice time together. Sunday, Addison woke to find that the Easter bunny had hidden the eggs inside, since there was a chance of rain over the night and morning. The living room was a great place to search for Easter eggs since it had been ransacked with spare bedroom "stuff". She loved hunting, looking in her Easter basket, and we had a quiet day that was ended with the finishing of Avett's room and a little bit of egg (cascarones) smashing in the backyard

Construction Zone

There has been lots of work going on construction wise in the Reynolds' house. We started with a bookshelf that was in the spare bedroom. We decided that the black bookshelf that was in Addison's room needed to head over to Avett's room, for a more coherent look and we would take the bigger spare bedroom shelf and put it in Addison's room. Therefore, I started the project of sanding the entire bookshelf and then Thomas and Addison took over with painting it to match Addison's furniture. Addison really enjoyed working with her Daddy on it and helped it put it together when it was finished. We put the bookshelf where the big rocker was in the corner and the room looks so much more spacious! Lots of shelving for her millions of books, as well. The next project that was done was the "Giant" project. Ronnie and Vicki came up this weekend so that they could work on the task I gave them for Avett's room. They worked their tails off and I am soooo very happy with the outcome of it. They also worked in the kids bathroom to fix up the popcorn ceiling that was starting to peel off. They completely took it down, retextured, and painted it. Overall, it was a huge success and we got everything done that we wanted to. Now it is my turn to do all the work...organizing, trying to figure out where to put all of our crap, and decorating!!

22 weeks

Today we are officially 22 weeks along, making us 2 weeks past the half way point of the pregnancy. Things are going okay for me right now. I have been having some health related problems that I are not too fun to deal with and we are working on them. I have been having quite a bit of lightheadedness and dizziness that has really become a somewhat of a scary situation when I am out in public without Thomas to assist if needed. We are noticing this happening about mid morning and mid afternoon. The doctor is wanting me to get on another dosage of iron during the day and also begin to have a protein snack because she thinks I might be having a type of insulin shock and my blood sugar is dropping at those times. I have also been having headaches which is probably related to the iron deficiency and exhaustion from the pregnancy and work. Who know that this sweet little boy could give me so much trouble!! I am still so happy, excited, and proud to be pregnant and I wouldn't change anything because it is just getting me closer to the day I get to see our little boy. Other things to know...we are in slow motion with the room right now while Thomas is still working on school and most of the weekends are taken up by a few errands here and there on Saturday morning with him and then it is off to work and reading. Our plan though is to do yellow and gray and the theme is a vintage train theme. Lots of ideas are running through my head and hopefully they all come out how we are picturing it! We also have found a daycare that we are really happy and excited about for him. It is called the Playhouse and it is literally 5 minutes away from the house so it should be a great spot easy pick up and drop off for Addison and the baby. I think that is most of the news that I need to share about our new addition! And one more thing...Speaking of our little boy, for those of you who have not heard through the grapevine we have officially picked out a name. Our newest addition to the family will be Avett Hill Reynolds. We have fallen in love with this name and we are very proud of it, it is unique and just perfect for us!

Valentine's School Party

Addison's Valentine's party at school was a huge success! First of all they were able to wear "Civilian clothes", which was great for Addison. A valentines shirt and shirt was a top priority to wear. All of the kids from all 3 three year old classes were in awe of the beginning events of the party. They were all brought into what is called the Patriot Learning Center and had to sit and wait for a "surprise". The 8th grade class, as a fundraiser, collected money from parents to be messengers with balloons and chocolates. They all came in singing love songs and carrying the gifts from friends and parents. They told some silly Valentine's knock knock jokes and then handed out one at a time the gifts to each kid. Addison received 2 balloons and a candy bar from us and then she received a balloon and a candy bar from 2 of her different friends in her class. After the craziness in the PLC, they returned back to their classrooms to make a love robot and eat some pizza, fruit, and a cookie. They did not open their valentines because there were 28 kids that handed out valentines and that would have been complete chaos..very understandable! Addison absolutely loved her Valentine's Day and I am so glad that I was able to be apart of the festivities!!
