Finn's 6th Birthday

Our sweet boy is 6 years old today! I still remember the day we decided to make a 200 and some dollar purchase on him in the parking lot of what was Albertsons. The whole day we had been on a "search" for our new puppy. We had gone to a pet store and saw a dachsaund puppy that was super cute, but decided to sit on it for the day to make our decision. We went to the pet adoptions at PetSmart but saw nothing. After our search we went to dinner and on the way home there was a truck in the parking lot and from a far away distance I saw the sign "Beagles" I high-tailed it all the way across three lanes and screeched into the parking lot. There were two puppies left, a female which a couple was looking at and a male that was all by his lonesome. This puppy became our Finnagen. We got money out of the ATM there and took him home. He was a pedigree Beagle, but as much of you all have seen, Finn is definitely a goliath inbred beagle.
We truly love him and he is the sweetest boy! Although he drives us crazy with his car riding, kleenex, sock, and underwear stealing, and whining that goes on consistently we would not trade him for the world! We love you Finny boy and Happy Birthday!

Friends Weekend

Last weekend we had our first vacation of the summer to Fredericksburg. We went with our friends Trinity, Diana, and Grace; Jen and Mike; Erin and her fiance' Craig. We stayed at the Avery Haus which is under the same Bed and Breakfast company that Thomas and I stayed at for one of our anniversaries. It was absolutely beautiful! 4 bedroom house, with wonderful porches, awesome kitchen, and a great living room for the kids to hang out in.
We spent the whole day on Saturday on Main Street shopping, enjoying each other's company, eating and drinking! It was wonderful and our two little girls of the group did Awesome! On Sunday, we went and traveled around to 3 wineries. The last two, Grape Creek and Becker were absolutely beautiful and we spent quite a while enjoying the scenery and the rest enjoyed the wine!
Monday we headed home, glad to get back onto our routine but sad to say goodbye to our great friends. We had such a great great time and loved our Friends weekend! Can't wait for the next one!

Happy Birthday Brooklyn!

Sorry this is so late in sharing! I have been so busy with school that I have not been able to share much! But guess what?  It is summer, so I am going to get back into the blogging world more.

We headed to Midland a couple of weeks ago to celebrate Brooklyn's 3rd birthday.  Addison was so excited to go and not only see Brooklyn, but to go tumbling.  This was the perfect birthday party for energetic 3 year olds.  The moms and dads were able to play and have fun just as much as the little ones, while the employee guarded areas and made sure the kids were playing safely and appropriately.  The kids loved the running trampoline floor and crashing into the mats at the end..it was definitely some great entertainment! The kids also loved the large in the floor trampolines, they were quite stretchy and very bouncy.

Jump Jump!

For Addison's birthday, she got a great new toy for her outdoor entertainment, a tiny tott trampoline from both of her grandparents.  This trampoline is extremely safe and is intended for small weights/kids.  I think this is going to be a great addition to all of the fun things that Addison will get to do outside in the summer.  She has thoroughly enjoyed it already! Thank you very much to our parents for always doing such amazing things for our daughter and your granddaughter.  She loves you all so much and we do too!

I scream, You scream Addison is Three!

We can't believe that Addison is 3 years old!! Who knew how amazing our life would have been with this sweet baby girl in our lives.
Addison you are:
*28 to 29 pounds (depending on the day:-) ), not sure how tall, but you are a very tall and skinny gal!
*wearing 3T clothes, but you really need a size 24 months in pants for your itty bitty waist
*absolutely in love with playing outside. Bubbles, Swings, Playground, water, chalk, helping Daddy mow the lawn, gardening, and now jumping on your new trampoline,
*very very smart! You can identify almost all of the alphabet, name all colors and shapes and your math skills are amazing.  You are counting up to 13 and can count with your fingers up to 10.
*very much into large puzzles and you can put familiar puzzles together almost on your own.
*infatuated with ice cream (Holly Hops) just like your mommy,
*still very picky with your eating and it is a constant struggle at all eating times to get you to eat what we put in front of you, we hope one day you will change your eating habits
*loving your music classes and will sing at all times of the day very much in tune and in rhythm
*95% potty trained, you will occasionally have an accident at night because you sleep so hard,
*very sensitive and empathetic to others feelings and you want to help fix problems.

Addison we hope you have had an amazing year and we love you so much! Happy Birthday sweet girl! You will never know how lucky we are to have you as our little girl and we can not wait for another super year with you. We are going to have so much fun and hopefully exciting new things will come into your life this year. Love You Love You Love You! And one more thing...Please promise me you won't grow up to fast!

Spring Gardening

In April, when mom is here to visit, we make sure that we get in our springtime flowers in our front garden. We normally do it so that our yard looks extra pretty for Addison's birthday party, but this year it is just to do it because we love how beautiful it makes the front of our house. Addison absolutely loves gardening with and she is a great BIG help (sometimes more then we would like). It is great to have a outdoor activity with her and we enjoying getting her involved with all chores and projects for our house.
