Tad's 12th week

Many of you now know that we are expecting our second baby. Thomas and Addison have decided to nickname this baby Tad for tadpole. We are now 12 weeks along and are due date is July 26th. We are so thrilled to make our family of three into a family of four. We are also so excited that Addison will be a big sister and that she will have a little brother/sister. We can't wait! We have had 2 doctors appointments so far. We have only had one issue thus far. I am severely anemic and am having to take iron pills. I was on a generic iron pill during the end of Christmas and it made me very sick to my stomach, but I am now on a slow releasing pill that is working much better. I have also had to watch what I eat so that I have high iron foods..YAY... Anyways, I am feeling great, getting bigger much faster then I did with Addison at this time, but very happy! We had a sonogram today to make sure that our due date is correct and also to check on things because of the anemia. Tad is looking great! Tad was moving around quite a bit while we measured him/her and looked at all of the body parts that have grown so far. According to our babycenter emails, Tad is about the size of a lime right now. We will have another sonogram at 20 weeks so that we can find out if Tad is a boy or girl. Addison is excited because she is going to get to be at that appointment. We plan to keep everyone updated just as we did with Addison, on the blog, so keep checking back for updates! Thank you all for all of the congrats and well wishes! We are so happy to have such a supportive and caring family to share our exciting additions in our life.

New Years and Lily

We were able to spend extra time after Christmas in Houston to take care of our neice, Lily. My brother and sister-in-law had to head to Columbus for my brother's best friends wedding starting on Friday the 30th. We asked them if we could take care of Lily for the weekend so that we could spend some time with her and we were so happy that they let us do this. Addison and Lily had a great time running around the house, playing dress up, going to the park, and dancing to my parents Santa. On New Years Eve, they had the wedding and my parents headed that way to be there too! We were lucky enough to have our yearly New Years dinner with our buddies, Katie and John. They got the luxury of going out with us and 2 cute and crazy girls! We went to Texas Roadhouse and had a great time catching up and the girls were great! On Sunday, we had a little hamburger/hotdog cookout with some birthday cake to wish Lily a happy 2nd birthday since we would not be able to be there on the 22nd of this month! We had such a good time in all we did for that weekend and so happy to see all the people that we miss throughout the year!

Christmas in Houston

After we had our Christmas in Midland, we took the long drive down to Midland. Addison had lots of great gifts from Santa that she has enjoyed! New dance leotard, a princess tent, and more. The most important gift was a from Jon D. Salvetore(SP?) from the Aeros Hockey Team. Addison received a autographed jersey with her name on it and was able to go to the hockey game and thank him for it. During warm ups he waved at her and threw over a puck for her to keep. It was a very special evening and she enjoyed it very much. Also, while we were there we were able to indulge in some of our favorite restaurants and get some new maternity clothes (thank you mom and dad!!), since I am growing at a rapid speed..eeks. Later in another blog I will share the fun we were able to have with Lily while we were there, too. We really had a great time in Houston and we are so glad that we were able to share our Christmas with both of our families!

Christmas in Midland

We spent Christmas Eve thru the 27th in Midland for Christmas. WE had a great time with all of the family! On Christmas Eve we opened all of the Christmas presents from all of the family. That evening Addison got all of the cookies and hot chocolate that she made at school for Santa ready. As well, her and pop went outside and set out the reindeer food and reindeer dust. In the morning, Santa loaded up her stocking with all sorts of great goodies and she got a super comfy and cute personalized chair for her room/living room. She was very lucky and got so many wonderful things for Christmas, but above all she is lucky to have had so much fun with all of the family and to have a great Christmas in Midland.

1st Snowman

While in Midland, we were able to experience a real white Christmas! It was absolutely wonderful! Addison was delighted when she had all of her cousins, Reba, and Uncle Justin to help her build her first ever snowman. They all had an awesome time and we are so lucky to have such an awesome family to go and do that with our girl! She will remember that always and so will we. I think the next day, without her knowing it, the snowman was knocked over by a snowball fight..poor guy!

Science Spectrum

To start our Christmas holiday, Addison had 2 days at home before Daddy was off. We decided we needed to take a trip to the Science Specturm to check out the new toddler area that they have been building for the bast year or 2. It was so great! They tried to really work in some of the ideas that you see in the bigger cities in their children's museums. They had a pretend play area that had a vet and grocery store area, which Addison absolutely loved! They also had their water play area, which they had before, but updated. There was a music room, an explorations of air area, and a place for the kids to have some movement on "cars" and bikes. After playing in that area for about an hour we ventured to the regular part of the science spectrum. She loved this, as well! We had a great time and I just love having the one on one time with her!
